About Shaynie Wolski

Founder & Licensed Professional Counselor

Women experience countless transitions throughout life—some exciting, some unexpected, and some deeply challenging. While motherhood can be one of life's most meaningful seasons, it can also bring complex emotions, unexpected challenges, and significant identity shifts. Beyond motherhood, women often navigate anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, relationships, grief, career changes, and the many transitions that shape who they are.

Whether you are preparing for motherhood, navigating infertility, grieving a pregnancy or infant loss, adjusting after birth, feeling overwhelmed by expectations, or simply trying to reconnect with yourself, you do not have to navigate it alone.

I founded Nest & Nurture Counseling & Consultation on a fundamental belief:

Women deserve care, too.

Too often, women spend their lives caring for others while placing their own emotional needs on hold. This practice was created to provide a dedicated space where women can feel heard, supported, and understood—not only during motherhood, but through every season of life.

My Philosophy & Approach

The name Nest & Nurture reflects the heart of this practice.

A nest represents warmth, safety, protection, and intentional preparation—a place where growth can occur and new beginnings can be supported.

Women often create these spaces for others. They nurture families, relationships, careers, and communities while carrying responsibilities that are often unseen. Yet in the process of supporting everyone else, their own emotional well-being can become overlooked.

My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate place for you to land—a space where you can pause, reflect, heal, and reconnect with yourself.

I believe therapy is a collaborative process built on trust, compassion, and understanding. Through evidence-based counseling and a personalized approach, I support women in exploring their experiences, developing meaningful coping strategies, strengthening resilience, and moving toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Whether you are navigating a difficult transition, working through emotional challenges, or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, your story matters.

Two women having a conversation in a cozy, well-lit living room. One woman, with long blonde hair and glasses, is smiling and sitting in an armchair. The other woman, partially visible, is sitting across from her. Behind the woman with glasses, there is a bookshelf with books and decorative items, and a framed painting on the wall. A small wooden side table with a notebook, pen, and mug is in front of her.

My Approach to Counseling

A Compassionate, Collaborative Space for Your Healing Journey

Every woman's story is unique, and your counseling experience should reflect your individual needs, experiences, values, and goals.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices. Together, we will explore your experiences, identify your strengths, develop practical tools for navigating challenges, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.

In our work together, you can expect counseling that is:

  • Compassionate and nonjudgmental — A safe space where you can show up authentically and feel heard, understood, and supported.

  • Collaborative and individualized — Therapy is a partnership. We will work together to identify goals and create an approach that honors your unique journey.

  • Trauma-informed — Your experiences matter. We will approach your story with care, respect, and an understanding of how past experiences shape the present.

  • Evidence-based — Counseling interventions are informed by research and tailored to support your emotional well-being and personal growth.

  • Rooted in empathy, hope, and resilience — Healing is possible, and your strengths are an important part of the process.

My role is not to tell you what your journey should look like or who you should become. My role is to walk alongside you with compassion and support as you explore your experiences, reconnect with yourself, and discover what healing and growth look like for you.

Thank You for Being Here.

Reaching out for support can feel like a vulnerable first step, and I am honored that you are considering allowing me to be part of your journey.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, a major life transition, infertility, pregnancy, loss, postpartum adjustment, or simply searching for a place where you can pause and breathe, know that you do not have to walk this path alone.

At Nest & Nurture Counseling & Consultation, you will find a compassionate space where your experiences are honored, your story is valued, and your emotional well-being matters.

Together, we can create a space where healing is possible, hope is restored, and you feel supported through every season of life—including the journey of motherhood.
